Easter is a special time of year for my family, the Tyler’s. It’s a time when we gather together to celebrate the holiday and enjoy a traditional meal. This year was no different, and we were thrilled to have many generations of our family in attendance.
As we sat down to eat, we couldn’t help but remember those who have gone on before us. We miss them dearly, but we know that they are looking down on us and are happy to see us all together. It’s times like these that make us appreciate our loved ones even more.
Our Easter meal was filled with all of our favorite dishes, like ham, Mac & Cheese, fried Chicken, sweet potatoes & Aunt Angie’s Ham Rice!. We passed around plates and shared stories and laughter, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
One of the highlights of the meal was Nut cakes recipes, It was a tradition started by my great-grandmother Fronie, and it’s one that we still continue to this day.
As the day came to an end, we said our goodbyes and hugged each other tightly. We may not know what the future holds, but we do know that we will always have our memories of this Easter together as a family.
Aunt Angie’s Ham Rice!
As the day went on, we played games and took family photos, capturing the moments we shared together. We talked about old memories and created new ones, all while feeling grateful for the time we had with one another.
